Little snow/cold for only November 1st, eh? Very nice to be able to tease my ‘shopmate’ about how comfortable it is to clean carpet & tile-grout in Fairbanks/North Pole than it is to drive north!
In the winter, I share a shop with an “ice road trucker” that runs three semi’s to Prudoe Bay and beyond several times per week,… This is a picture from yesterday where they had to ‘carve’ through 13′ of fresh snow …
Sometimes the little doggy really wants “out of here”… If he/she can’t go over, around or through, then under is the only optionDamaged area removed, new tape installed, piece removed from the back of a closet to replace/matchAlmost finished! Soon hardly noticeable.
Damaged carpet can often be repaired for a tiny fraction of the cost of replacement. Areas damaged by pets, dyes that are ‘set’ from spills, burns in the carpet, etc are permanent, however, a razor and reasonably matching carpet can solve even the worst “permanent” problems.
How could this be a tragedy!?! Yummy! Colors are difficult to remove without damage to the existing fiber, but we love a challenge.
If you have to be stuck in a conference room, what a great way to suffer…. SUPER nice coffee maker just out of sight as well…
A steamer, absorbent cotton/cotton blend and microfiber pads with steam/reducing agents to remove dyes from carpet
The beginning process of adding reducing agents to dyes in the carpet and warming up the steamer to help ‘open’ the dye sites
Dye transfer from carpet to a cotton blend pad using a reducing agent, often we also will have to use oxidizing agents as well on certain natural & synthetic dyes to get the best results.
Sample of the slow transfer process to remove foreign dyes from the carpet without removing carpet color… reducing agents, gentle agitation, steam, blot, repeat, repeat, repeat…. try to keep your mind off the cupcakes still on the table behind you….
The public doesn’t even yet have access to this very very nice medical facility… talk about a cupcake ‘bummer’ :-).
If you moved to a rental property and didn’t find absolutely awesome looking-feeling carpet… You have been slighted by your rental agent! :-). Call them and see if there is still time to start your lease with great carpet by calling us! …. Of course by asking nicely….
Like all carpets we clean, our goal is to get the carpet in as close to “new condition” as we possibly can without risk of damage to the fiber. This adds a lot of value to our rental property owners/managers that have to ‘show’ apartments to re-rent them. One of our last steps! Drying, post vacuuming and grooming the carpet.Beautiful home with attached rental unit right on the Chena River. :-).
Can life get better? Trinity “Renewing” carpets and we get paid to do it!
Really enjoyable to do a rental ‘turnover’ when you can absolutely amaze both the residents and the landlord/property manager.
Wow! Did we ever make a difference in this home! Interior pictures before/after weren’t taken with sufficient light, but cleaning the carpet and two staircases was like painting an in finished wall. VERY AWESOME.
A lot of the traffic areas had been heavily soiled AND abraded (scratched). Now there is no way to repair damage to fiber from a abrading, but, as in this case, using “Scotchgard-like” protectors can often make them fully disappear…
Jobs like this always help the old carpet cleaners self-esteem. :-).
It is sure nice when jobs show a stunning difference in appearance after we are done… not so much that the homeowner sees as much difference, but when it is awesome to us as the technicians as well!
Want one sure fire way to help select a great Doctor-Dentist-Chiropractic-Health service? Look at their facilities! Ever notice how professional services keep up their offices, exam rooms, reception areas? You can almost always count on the care shown to cleanliness reflects the goals they have in patient care.
When you walk into this dentist office, you will know this professional cares about the details!
We are in many offices every single month and the fabric floor coverings/upholstery prove the results.
So, when the concern is something as important as your health… don’t just call the office! Stop by in person to set the appointment! A quick look around will answer more questions than any phone call…
And no, we don’t clean all the health facilities in Fairbanks :-(… And, yes, even though it pains me to suggest it… there are other companies that can keep fabric floor/upholstery coverings in as good of shape as we can? :-).
Wish I had the time to take pictures of all of the birds!
Because birds are so sensitive to almost any cleaning products, our company is the obvious choice :-).
What Personality! These guys seem to love to pose for the camera!Birds and cleaners don’t usually mix! You need to be careful! Their tiny systems are very sensitive. These guys are busy moving little eating and, well, er… evacuating the food machines :-). Have birds? Call us and let us get you on a regular schedule.
Birds can make a mess!
If I had known how much personality they had when they were being photographed I would have done this with dozens… My blog will have more soon.
You probably wouldn’t think of it, but many Fairbanks area homes have some pretty unique pets. Many times these pets are very sensitive to harsh cleaning products.
How would you feel if you were just finishing a beautiful multi-million dollar building and found this repeated down 150’+ feet of hallway? Yes, it was a ‘bummer’…
Trying to go above and beyond “the extra mile”, this construction crew laid down a terrific protective covering for their beautiful newly carpeted floors: Tyvek. It was awesome except for the dyes that were transferred (process called “crocking” where dyes are essentially rubbed into a fabric)… The markings repeated as if they had run the carpet through a printing press, blue “Tyvek” follow by red “logo”. Very discouraging to the folks that had gone to such a great extent to prevent any soiling… Would be so simple to have made this error.
Anyhow, with multiple dry and damp processes… And lots of hours:

Yes, this was rewarding. Very neat to have it work out so well. There ended up being zero damage to the fabrics and no discolorations… and we have a very happy customer.
Well, another carpet slated to be replaced was saved! At no risk to the landlord, we quoted the salvage and took the risk that if our salvage cleaning didn’t renew the carpet, our cleaning was free.
What a great way to check the winter tires! New snow and lots of driving….
One layer at at time, this this carpet came perfectly clean. The landlord was thrilled to pay my salvage cleaning costs and save a few thousand dollars.
Picture with us already about an hour into the job… One layer at a time. This is yet another rental where the carpet “had” to be replaced…. We repaired burn spots, removed embedded chewing gum and asphalt, repaired dye spots, removed a heavy soil load and “Trinity Renewed” all the fabric floor coverings.
Nice building, quiet, clean …
Other than needing multiple vacuuming passes, this Moose Creek unit cleaned spectacularly and now is in perfect condition to show and rent to the next resident.
Well laid out floor plan with soon to be “Pristine Cleaned” floor coverings.
This one was destined for the trash can: our favorites! Of course there are limits, but seldom do our management companies ever need to replace a carpet anymore prior to it’s expected life.
Why replace when you can “TrinityRenew” your floors! Picture one of several in the process of renewal cleaning
Upon arrival
Removing the soiling a layer at a time and ‘hiding’ damaged fiber (scratches) as able by filling them in with an encapsulant fiber guard.
Starting to prepare the carpet for cleaning…
Salvage work often requires a lot of steps and time; almost always saving the landlord thousands of dollars in replacement cost, lost rental time, etc.
Removal of the first layers
The Trinity machines often bring soil up from down deep in the fibers rather than washing them deeper from over-wetting, our final steps of drying, grooming and vacuuming again removes those previously embedded soils (mostly insoluble).
Above: after soil removal and visually improving the abraded (scratched) fiber.
As long as dyes are not set (chemically, heat, time), they can often be removed without replacing the damaged section of carpet. The same with cigarette or other burns.
Above is the entry into the next bedroom before
Drying, grooming and vacuuming done! Bleach stains explained below.
Above is the same entry after (the bleached areas could be repaired by cutting them out/inserting a matching piece of carpet, but not worth it to the owners in this case/situation)
Like the above bedroom, this required a lot of hands/knees work to prep the carpet for salvage cleaning
Hallway before
After drying, grooming and vacuuming. This apartment was rented shortly after we finished. Happy carpet cleaner, happy landlord, happy new resident.
