How cool is this?!  These folks pay me to have fun fixing/restoring/cleaning carpets AND they give me bonuses to boot!  -Not just at Christmas either!

I made the mistake of moving south once and living in the states after growing up here… as many Fairbanks area folks have.  Wow!  How incredibly nice at -45 degrees to be reminded of the reason I told my new stateside friends I was “coming home” to the cold!

Reason I’m here?: The people are AWESOME (warm :-)).

Tough part of my day?  Saving the goodies to take a picture and post before all the nice wrapping was torn off…  well, er… sort of… note that the cookie bag is fluffed out to ‘fake’ you into thinking I could wait to post .. it didn’t make it home with much :-)….

How terrific can it get?  The air is dry and cool, the lighting is great (’cause you nearly always have a headlamp on), the road traffic is light and the carpets are dirty!  No matter how much water you need to use, we can nearly always have the carpets dry in less than an hour.

Don’t get trapped in with last summer’s dirt!

Our schedule slows way down in the winter even though the soil brought into your home is usually close to the same… and the air changes are less resulting in more dust/dirt… just get out your flashlight, you will soon see for yourself.

By the way, I included a picture of myself on a job wearing a headlamp (actually on most of the jobs today…).  I see in the picture that it shows my new ‘hair-coloring’ style of “grey”… :-).

Starting my day providing a “Trinity renewed” carpet for customers before they arrive this morning.

One of the reasons we have so many regular commercial carpet cleaning customers is the convenience of having a dry & usable carpet almost immediately after we finish.

In addition to little disruption, our customers (commercial & residential) enjoy an obvious difference in how long the carpet stays in ‘renewed’ condition.

At -40 degrees, man it is great to have the driving reduced. Doubling up at the same address … Hardly could be better than this unless just more of the same: yeah! A twelve plex or two!

I cleaned my first Fairbanks – North Pole area carpet in the fall-winter of 1983…. AND NO, I’m still not used to the dark & cold!!!!

What a fun way to finish a -40° day!

Not only is this facility nice, but the residents here are really super enjoyable and friendly. Not only is the building warm, but the hearts of the individual people there match it with style!

Can life be any more fun! 🙂

Nearly 20 degrees warmer up here in the hills; a really nice break.

This breathtakingly gorgeous home had a pipe burst inside the wall. Needless to say it made a bit of a mess…..

The caretaker heard the water flowing, reacted immediately, got the water turned off, the pipe repaired and then called us!

No, we don’t usually do emergency water damage, but we do carry all the certifications and will work with long term customers when we can save them substantial money & time.

For those of you that already live in Moose Creek, you know the secret source of the best coffee is at the Moose Creek General Store…

This morning it was especially great! Jeff and Al make great coffee!

Oh yeah! I start in Moose Creek again tomorrow morning! Why would anyone want anything but a carpet cleaners life?

Will buy a couple cups tomorrow?

Great way to end a dark and frosty cold day in Fairbanks.

Now if I can just get this fat ‘ole body of mine to hold up, I could just keep cleaning carpets/floors 24 hours per day.

I would never have to come home and do any paperwork! Wow! Life could get even ‘gooder’!

It will never cease to amaze me on exactly how much soil can be hidden in a quality fabric floor covering…  Helps me to understand why carpet is referred to as the largest filter basically found anywhere: the carpet ‘filter’ does it’s job!

Last night I was at my middle sons wedding….

Today I’m spending Thanksgiving at my son’s home…

What an awesome business! Driving from one beautiful home to another ;-).

Today was all in the North Pole area and all three homes were absolutely stunning mini “mansions”.

And, to top that off…. I got to work in the nice warmth again :-).
